Spay Neuter Clinic
Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic
We are hosting one or two low cost spay/neuter clinics for cats at the shelter each month. The cost is $85/female and $75/male and includes a rabies vaccination. Additional vaccinations and flea/tick treatments are available at a small additional cost. The cats must come to the clinic in a hard-sided cat carrier. They spend the whole day at the shelter and are ready to go home in the late afternoon or early evening. We do not have a program for dogs at this time.
The next clinic with openings is scheduled for June 4th. The clinic after that are on July 9 and August 6.
To schedule a cat for one of the clinics, please send an e-mail with your name, address, phone #, and the name, sex and age of your cat and we will get back to you and let you know when there is an available slot. The clinics fill up quickly, but there are other clinics nearby.
The Catmobile is also a great option for cats and they are now doing regular clinics in Medway, Milford and Natick. Call 978-779-8287 or email catmobile@mrfrs.org to book an appointment.
The Ocean State Animal Coalition clinic spays/neuters cats (including ferals) and dogs!
Second Chance Shelter's S.P.O.T program in North Brookfield spays/neuters both dogs and cats.
You can also locate private vets offering low cost services to qualified recipients by going to the Friends of Animals website and searching on your zip code to find a vet in your area.
