Need to Surrender a Pet?

We understand that there can be life changes that make surrendering a pet necessary and are accepting new pets as space permits. We work hard to keep the pets in our care as comfortable as possible and our small staff and compassionate volunteers care for them the way they do their own pets. Dogs receive several walks a day and cats have cozy beds and lots of toys. If you need to surrender a pet, please send an email to info@medfieldshelter.com with information about your pet (age, temperament, whether they are up to date on vet care) and we will do our best to help you.

Driving Directions

Use 99 West Street, Medfield, MA 02052 for your GPS and then look for our sign on the road.

We are not located at 99 West Street, but our driveway is the first one on the right after you pass the signs for 99 West Street if you are traveling on West Street from Route 27. Turn right when you see the sign for the Medfield Shelter and for the Waste Water Treatment plant, follow the driveway up the hill and over the train tracks, and you will see our building. Please park next to the shelter.We are located right off of West Street in Medfield MA, just before you cross the bridge (or just after) over the Charles River. Look for our large sign out on the street. There is also a sign for the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
